Munich!!

We arrived in Munich Germany at 5:30 PM yesterday!  Elder Meiser…a senior missionary who works in the mission office picked us up from the airport.  We traveled right to the Alpine German Speaking Mission office.   

 

We were so thrilled to finally President Scott Naatjes.   He told us that we will be serving in the branch in Bruck an der Mur.  Judd really wanted to serve in a branch.  Bruck is about 30 minutes north of Graz…Judd’s favorite Austrian city...that he served in on his first mission!  We are so thrilled!  This news is truly an answer to our prayers. 

Last night we ate dinner in a darling outdoor cafe with Elder and Sister Hart that are also serving in the mission office!  I am including a photo of our server who wore an adorable Dirndl  (the traditional dress for women in Germany and Austria).  Tomorrow we are taking the train to Bruck an der Mur (bridge on the river!) where we will be serving for the next 23 months!  We are so very blessed and grateful!

Tonight we made two wonderful friends:  Peter and Silka Meiser! We went to dinner and enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant next door to the hotel we are staying in for two nights!   We delighted in getting to know each other!  We have decided that our friendship with them will endure and extend beyond our missions…without a doubt!
