Hiking the Alps!

October 1, 2021 Isaak Faulke led us up a mountain called Gstoder to a summit called Doerfler Hoehe.  It is one of the easiest hikes in the area of Murau (a darling Austrian town) nearby.  

Even though it is not difficult to hike it is the highest peak in the area!   The ascent is gradual and grassy much of the way.  We drove up the mountain on a very narrow and steep road that took us a good part of the way so the actually hiking time was reduced considerably.  

Since it is so late in the season we decided this was most likely our last best chance until spring.  Isaak has been taking care of his dear grandmother Hannelora who has dementia.  He has to go back to school next week and with the weather getting cooler we knew we must seize the day!
