Blessed Sabbath

Today was our first Sabbath day as missionaries (even though we are still here in the MTC!)  Tonights fireside was for all the missionaries that will be leaving here this week.

President Porter, who is the president of the MTC, taught us about faith and miracles. He asked us if we have the faith to experience miracles.  He quoted Pres. Nelson in his last conference address when he said that faith is the conduit of all power.  Everything good in life begins with faith.  Faith unlocks the power of God. Each potential blessing begins with faith.

Mosiah 8:18  Faith in Jesus Christ gives us his power which can bring forth God’s miracles.

Pres. Nelson: “God will perform his mightiest miracles between now and the second coming of Jesus Christ.”

Pres. Porter asked us to look inward and ask: “What is my pure desire in serving a mission?”  After pondering this question, my response is: I have been so richly blessed throughout my life.  I want to invite others to come unto Christ so that they also can experience such joy.

Elder Neil Anderson: We must believe that the Lord is preparing people in every place on the earth to teach!

True conversion is a miracle that happens through faith. There is a power that can cause things to happen that need to happen!

He asked us: “Will you be one of those missionaries that have such great faith that you can call upon the powers of heaven to bring forth miracles?”  Oh yes, that is the desire of my heart!
