Performing in Vienna

Early this week we were thrilled to be asked to perform in our Stake Conference in Vienna!  We are thrilled to be going back to the same chapel in Vienna that Judd attended as a young missionary!  President Helmrich,  a counselor in the Stake Presidency, apologized for the last minute invitation.  We are grateful to have a beautiful arrangement for the hymn: Where can I turn for  peace?   We have performed it before.  We have been driving 15 minutes everyday to our chapel in Bruck to rehearse.  I misplaced the key to the church on Monday and we both had a fit until we prayed and found it!  We are so grateful for answered prayers!  It is such a blessing that we were given a key to the building!  Not having a piano where we live makes it a challenge!  However, we are so blessed to have another opportunity!

On Wednesday we went to visit Luise, a long standing member in Kapfenberg.  She lives on Brahmsstr. (Brahms Strasse). When we admired the wonderful streets named after composers in her neighborhood, Luise broke into song!  She sang the Brahms Lullaby!  I got a recording of Luise and Judd singing it together.

Yesterday, we had a lovely lunch with Ulrike.  She lives in Bruck an der Mur and has an apartment with a lovely view of the Bruck river.  She served us  open faced sandwiches that were artistic enough to be on the cover of a cooking magazine!  It is such a joy to make wonderful friends with the members of the branch.  Judd performed O how lovely was the morning on his violin and she loved it so much.  She said it was the best gift!  I told Judd that he must bring his violin each time we visit members.  We love it!
