"Into each life some rain must fall"!

 “Into each life some rain must fall!”  The lyrics to this famous song by Ella Fitzgerald describe the leaking pipes in our apartment complex in Leoben Austria.  The water pipes in our entire apartment building are in the process of being replaced. Our leaking pipes are raining on the tenants in the apartment below ours! Today the workmen replaced all of our water pipes!  (See the attached pictures!)  We have no water in our apartment tonight!  Interesting!!!  We have no idea how long this will last. Today is Thursday...if the repair takes until next week to finish, we may have to stay in an hotel over the weekend! 

Because this is an emergency repair we couldn’t leave to enable us to go to Stuttgart Germany this week to our all mission conference yesterday and today.   

Then...we got some sad family news this week (that will remain confidential!)  It is really true that “Into each life some rain must fall!”  Why not us?  Just more opportunities to forgive, not judge and love unconditionally!  

The good news?  Today we went treasure hunting to find gems...(less active members = future friends!)  We went to  four apartments/homes and found one man at home. He acted like we could possibly come back again. That was a score!  We plead with the Lord daily that we will find those precious souls and rejoice when we encounter one!  When people hear that a Temple of the Lord will be built in Austria that always brings a smile!  We are loving the work and so grateful to be here.  Everyday is an adventure! 

I can have joy in my heart everyday... even through the rain!
